Ellis, who plays Deputy Governor Danforth, returns to the Old Vic, where he last appeared in The Bridge Project's production of Richard III, directed by Sam Mendes, which also toured internationally. Other stage work includes Great Expectations at the Vaudeville, A Few Good Men at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and RSC productions of Hamlet, Cymbeline and Twelfth Night. TV credits include Jim Fenner in "Bad Girls" for seven years, bookmaker Harry Mason in "Coronation Street" and Detective Inspector Muddyman in "Prime Suspect."
Gaunt, who plays Giles Corey, was most recently seen as Dogsborough in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, which transferred from Chichester Festival Theatre to the West End's Duchess Theatre in 2013. Other stage work includes appearances at the Globe, RSC and National Theatre, and West End productions of The Miracle Worker, Travels With My Aunt and Boys in the Band.
Schiller, who plays Reverend John Hales, was most recently seen onstage as Dali in Hysteria at Hampstead Theatre. Other theatre credits include The Captain of Kopenick, The Veil, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour and The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other (all at the National) and numerous other productions for the RSC including Two Gentlemen of Verona, Henry V, As You Like It, Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest, Measure for Measure, Macbeth, The White Devil and Troilus & Cressida.
Thomas, who plays Reverend Parris, was in The Bridge Project productions of As You Like It and The Tempest (at the Old Vic and New York's BAM). Other theatre credits include People (tour), All’s Well That Ends Well, St. Joan, Pillars of the Community, The Orestia and The Life of Galileo (all at the National), and many productions for the RSC including Women Beware Women, Edward III, The Roman Actor, The Malcontent, The Comedy of Errors, Henry V, Henry IV Part 2, Romeo & Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Also in the cast are Harry Attwell, Marama Corlett, Ann Firbank,, Natalie Gavin, Hannah Hutch, Lauren Lyle, Paddy Navin, Sarah Niles, Tom Peters, Rebecca Saire, Neil Salvage, Alan Vicary, Daisy Waterstone, Matt Weyland and Zara White.
