George Salazar, Julia Mattison and More Will Be Uncool at Songwriter Sam Salmond's Concert, The Party
05 Nov 2013
Uncool: The Party, featuring the music of theatrical songwriter Sam Salmond, will be held Nov. 14 and 16 at CAP21. George Salazar and Julia Mattison, who were seen in the Broadway revival of Godspell, are among the lineup of performers.
Produced and directed by Ashley Rodbro with music direction by Salomon Lerner, the 8 PM concerts will also feature Lauren Marcus (Pregnancy Pact) and Seth Eliser, among others.
Here's how the evening is billed: "Come party with some of Broadway's best as we celebrate all the hilarious things that make us the weirdos we pretend so desperately not to be! Join us for an immersive night of new rock 'n roll theatre tunes, games, stories and an OPEN BAR! Uncool: the Party promises to be a night you won't forget... unless you really utilize that open bar."
CAP21 is located at 18 W. 18th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenue) on the 6th floor. Tickets are $25 and include an open bar. For more information and tickets, click here.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
