George Salazar, Julia Mattison, Daniel Everidge and More Will Be Uncool at The Party in NYC
07 Jul 2014
Uncool: The Party, featuring the music of theatrical songwriter Sam Salmond, will return to New York City July 10-14 at Musical Theatre Factory. George Salazar and Julia Mattison, who were seen in the Broadway revival of Godspell, are among the lineup of performers.
Featuring the songs of Salmond, Uncool is directed by Ashley Rodbro and includes performances from Salazar (Here Lies Love, Godspell), Mattison (Godspell), Daniel Everidge (Falling) and Lauren Marcus (Pregnancy Pact).
Uncool: The Party, according to press notes, "is back! Come party with some of Broadway’s best as we celebrate all of the hilarious things that make us the weirdos we pretend so desperately not to be! There will be SPIKED PUNCH, brand spankin' new rock 'n' roll theatre tunes, games, stories and dancing! Uncool: The Party promises to be a night you won't forget... unless you drink too much of that punch!"
Other members of the creative team include music director Matt Webb, lighting designer Lauren Bremen, sound designer Daniel Melnick and stage manager Jenny Gorelick.
Performances will be offered July 10 at 10:30 PM, July 13 at 7:30 PM and July 14 at 10:30 PM.
Uncool was previously seen at CAP21 in November 2013. This workshop of Uncool is presented at part of The Musical Theatre Factory's inaugural summer season. The Musical Theatre Factory is a non-profit organization dedicated to "helping musical theatre artists develop and present new work in a collaborative atmosphere free from the pressures of critical or financial success."
Musical Theatre Factory is located at 250 West 40th Street (between 7th & 8th Avenues) on the fourth floor. There is a $20 cover at the door; tickets are $15 in advance, and admission includes a free spiked punch. For more information, visit MusicalTheatreFactory.org.
