The hit comedy, which is currently on summer hiatus, will resume performances on Broadway Sept. 8 with the complete original cast. The production earned Tony nominations for all four actors, including Marcia Gay Harden, James Gandolfini, Jeff Daniels and Hope Davis. Harden took home the Best Actress honor, and director Matthew Warchus also earned a Tony for his work on the play.
God of Carnage's starry foursome are contracted to remain with the production through Nov. 14. Representatives for the play confirmed to Playbill.com that tickets are now on sale through Feb. 28, 2010, but casting has not been announced for dates beyond mid-November.
God of Carnage, according to press notes, "is a comedy of manners without the manners. The play deals with the aftermath of a playground altercation between two boys and what happens when their parents meet to talk about it."
The Broadway production reunites the West End creative team: set and costume designer Mark Thompson, lighting designer Hugh Vanstone and sound designers Simon Baker and Chris Cronin with music by Gary Yershon.
