"American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks, who appeared as Teen Angel in the Broadway revival of Grease, has signed on with Caesars Entertainment-owned Bally's Las Vegas Hotel and Casino for a three-month residency, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Hicks, who auditioned for the reality singing competition in Las Vegas, will begin his residency June 26. The singer is set to perform every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at The Indigo.
Hicks was named "American Idol" in 2006, besting runner-up Katharine McPhee ("Smash"). Following his "Idol" win, Hicks signed a recording contract with 19 Records Limited/Arista Records. His debut album, "Taylor Hicks," debuted in the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 charts and was later certified as a platinum album. For more on Hicks' theatrical history, visit the Playbill Vault.
