"Grey's" Alum T.R. Knight Will Play Man on Death Row in New Drama Pilot
16 May 2014
Stage and screen actor T.R. Knight will star opposite Mena Suvari in Amazon Studios' drama pilot "Hysteria," according to Deadline.com.
The project, from Shaun Cassidy, Alcon Entertainment and Universal TV, centers on Dr. Logan Harlow (Suvari), a bright but socially awkward neurologist-psychiatrist at the University of Texas Medical School who travels to her hometown of Austin, TX, to investigate a mysterious epidemic among high school girls that might be spreading through technology.
Knight will play Logan's brother, Carter James Harlow, who's been on death row since he was 19 years old and is two months away from execution. In the last few days of his life, he tries to convince his sister that the epidemic in Austin is the same hysteria that sent him to prison 25 years ago. If she will help him to be released, he'll give her the clues she needs to resolve the crisis.
Knight, known for his television work on "Grey's Anatomy," was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his performance in Scattergood and has been seen on Broadway in A Life in the Theatre, Tartuffe and Noises Off.
