Hartford Grand Night for Singing Benefit to Feature Jefferson Mays, Chilina Kennedy and More

Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays, Chilina Kennedy and Heather Ayers will take part in a benefit performance of the Rodgers and Hammerstein revue A Grand Night for Singing Sept. 27 at Hartford Stage.

The evening features the cast of the world premiere of the new Steven Lutvak-Robert L. Freedman musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which will debut at Hartford Stage Oct. 11.

The 7:30 PM benefit of A Grand Night for Singing will include Lutvak, Mays ( I Am My Own Wife), Kennedy ( Jesus Christ Superstar), Ayers ( A Little Night Music), Ken Barnett ( Wonderful Town), Rachel Izen ( Mary Poppins), Lisa O'Hare ( My Fair Lady), Kendal Sparks ( Les Misérables) and Price Waldman ( The Little Mermaid).

The benefit will also offer a sneak peek at a song from A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. A reception will follow at 8:45 PM.
