Two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone will be honored with the Ally for Equality Award during the Human Rights Campaign's greater New York gala Feb. 8 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

LuPone (Evita, Gypsy, Les Misérables, "American Horror Story") will be honored alongside Architectural Digest editor-in-chief Margaret Russell, who will also receive the Ally for Equality Award.

According to the HRC, "As a singer and actress, Patti LuPone has publicly supported LGBT equality for many years and has said that her vocal LGBT following gives her credibility."

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will headline the event that will feature interior designer Nate Berkus as a special guest. Alcoa, Inc. will be presented with HRC’s Corporate Equality Award.

The Human Rights Campaign is the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization.
