Hugh Jackman, Jeremy Jordan, Elena Roger, Ricky Martin and Newsies Nab Astaire Award Nominations

Hugh Jackman, Elena Roger, Jan Maxwell, Ricky Martin and the Broadway production of Newsies have been nominated for the 2012 Fred & Adele Astaire Awards.

The Astaire Awards, which recognize excellence in dance on Broadway and in film, will be presented June 4 at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. As previously reported, Liza Minnelli will be honored with the Douglas Watt Lifetime Achievement Award during the ceremony.

The 30th annual Astaire Awards will be dedicated to Tony-winning producer Marty Richards. Tony-nominated producer Kathleen Raitt will also be recognized with a special award for her efforts in helping to establish the Astaire Awards.
