Tony winner Hugh Jackman, an Academy Award nominee for his performance in the international hit movie musical "Les Miserables," will perform a special evening this October at The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood to benefit MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund).
Entitled Hugh Jackman… One Night Only, the evening is scheduled for Oct. 12.
One Night Only, according to press notes, will feature "musical entertainment and special Hollywood film moments, along with a few star-studded surprises."
“It is an honor to bring our show to Los Angeles. We have a very special evening planned for you that will raise money and awareness for MPTF, a cause very close to my heart," Jackman said in a statement.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
