Il Divo – A Musical Affair, With Heather Headley, to Play Broadway

Il Divo, the operatic vocal group created by Simon Cowell, will play a limited Broadway concert engagement this fall at the Marquis Theatre. Il Divo – A Musical Affair: The Greatest Songs of Broadway, will begin performances Nov. 7 with special guest, Tony Award winner Heather Headley, according to the New York Times.

The six-concert run, scheduled through Nov. 13, will offer songs from such shows as The Phantom of the Opera, Carousel and West Side Story. Comprised of vocalists Carlos Marín, Urs Bühler, Sébastien Izambard and David Miller, Il Divo has previously appeared with such artists as Barbra Streisand and Kristin Chenoweth.

Headley (Aida, The Lion King, The Bodyguard) will appear with Il Divo for all six concerts. 

The group is also expected to release a new album of show tunes on Nov. 5, which will feaure performances by Streisand, Chenoweth, Nicole Scherzinger and Michael Ball.

Tickets will go on sale Sept. 16 via Ticketmaster.com. An American Express pre-sale begins Sept. 9.
