Additional performances will be offered Jan. 25 at 3 PM and Jan. 26 at 2 PM and 7 PM. The MTF production, originally scheduled through Jan. 25 at Cloud City in Williamsburg, follows a sold-out concert at Joe's Pub and a development reading in spring 2013.
The cast includes Mike Longo (Hair national tour) and Mary Kate Morrissey (Hair national tour), with Jason SweetTooth Williams (Bloodsong of Love), Jeremy Morse (Bloodsong of Love), Luke Wygodny (American Idiot national tour), Katie Melby, Andrew Lynch (Blue Man Group), Lizzie Hagstedt (Southern Comfort) and Jeremy Yaddaw.
The Disappearing Man, according to MTF, "takes place backstage at a small-time travelling circus in 1936. When the headliner is offered another job, the motley troupe must decide whether to adapt to the change or fight to keep the family together."
A circus-style pre-show is held a half hour before curtain each night and features aerialist Rachael Shane, Bathtub Jen and the Henchmen (a band of vaudevillians, Jan. 17-24 only), Nelson Lugo the Charming Trickster (Jan. 17 only), magician Tanya Salomon (Jan. 18 only), clown Becca Bernarda (Jan. 19 only), clown Jeff Seal (Jan. 20 only), magician Matthew Holtzclaw (Jan. 23 only), magician Baker the Fakir (Jan. 24 only), contortion dancer Amazing Amy (Jan. 25 only) and Rose Hips and Ships (Jan. 25 only). A closing-night party, featuring banjo wielding busker extraordinaire Morgan O'Kane, will be Jan. 25 at 10 PM.
