Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda, who co-starred in the 1980 movie "9 to 5," are reuniting on screen for the new Netflix comedy "Grace & Frankie," Deadline.com reports.

Directed by Tate Taylor, the 13-episode series follows Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin), longtime nemeses. The two women's husbands announce they are in love with each other and plan to get married; as a result, Grace and Frankie find themselves permanently intertwined.

Fonda is a two-time Tony nominee whose stage credits include 33 Variations, Strange Interlude and The Fun Couple. The two-time Academy Award winner has appeared in "Coming Home," "Julia," "On Golden Pond" and "The China Syndrome."

Two-time Tony winner Tomlin has performed in The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. She wrote, directed and performed in Appearing Nitely. An Academy Award nominee, Tomlin's screen credits include "Nashville" and "I Heart Huckabees." She has appeared in the TV shows "The West Wing" and "Web Therapy."

"Grace & Frankie" was created by "Friends" co-creator Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris ("Sullivan & Son") and executive-produced by Paula Weinstein through Skydance Productions.
