Musical theatre composer Joe Iconis, whose music has been heard on the NBC musical series "Smash," hosts 22@54, featuring original songs by emerging writers from NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program's class cycle 22, May 22 at 54 Below.
The concert, which begins at 11 PM, benefits Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP).

Edwards (Anything Goes), Sevan Greene, Adam Halpin (Dogfight, Glory Days), Patty Nieman, Eileen Patterson, Aaron Riesebeck, Katie Thompson (Giant, Big Fish), Carrington Vilmont (Phantom of the Opera), Benjamin Eakeley (On a Clear Day..., Sweeney Todd), Jenny Fellner (Wicked, Pal Joey), Sara Jean Ford (How to Succeed…, Phantom of the Opera), Karl Josef Co (Allegiance), Megan McGinnis (Les Misérables, Little Women), Curtis Wiley (Jersey Boys national tour), Jason "SweetTooth" Williams (Joe Iconis & Family) and Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening).

22@54 was conceived by Sarah Rebell and is produced by Rebell and Landon Braverman. Jen Wineman (F$%king Up Everything) directs with musical direction by Max Mamon (Marie Christine).
Producer Rebell said in a statement, "We believe it is essential to raise awareness of the importance of arts education and to pay it forward. ASTEP is a wonderful organization that does incredible things for impoverished children all over the world; we are thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with ASTEP on this event."
