Johanna Day, Alex Dreier, Sonya Harum and More Will Be Appropriate for Signature Theatre

Complete casting has been announced for the New York premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' familial drama Appropriate, which will begin performances Feb. 25 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.
Opening night is scheduled for March 16, and performances will continue through April 6.
"The estranged members of the Lafayette clan have returned to Arkansas and their crumbling old plantation home to settle the accounts of their recently deceased patriarch," press notes state. "As they sort through a lifetime of hoarded mementos and junk, the discovery of a gruesome relic and a surprise visitor send the family into a spiral of crackling confrontations, repressed histories, and regret."
Appropriate will feature scenic and costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu, original music and sound direction by Broken Chord, projection design by Aaron Rhyne and fight direction by Rick Sordelet. Kyle Gates is production stage manager, and casting is by Telsey + Company, William Cantler, CSA.
All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access.
