The 7 PM reading will feature the talents of Broadway's Julie Halston; Marc Castle, who played Elliot in the original 1980 production, as Curtis; and Collective members Luke Anthony, David Marx, Ellyn Stein, Jordan Tierney and Anne Richmond as Charlene.
Steven Carl McCasland directs.
Bicknell is the playwright behind Moose Murders, which infamously flopped on opening night in 1983. Beautiful Soup will revive that murder mystery farce for the first time in New York City in January 2013.
My Great Dead Sister, according to press notes, is a "heart-warming and side-splitting comedy about siblings, Bicknell creates a heroine out of the unlikely Charlene -- obese and short-tempered. When Charlene and her brother Gerald lose their mother, they must come together to fight off the evil Aunt Zoe (Halston). In this hilarious look at family, a war of the paperweights is brewing."
