Paper Mill Playhouse is launching the Broadway-bound production of the Porter classic with producing partner Jonathan Burrows.
“We’re delighted to welcome Jason Danieley to our family and we couldn’t be happier to have Kate Baldwin return to Paper Mill Playhouse,” commented Mark S. Hoebee, producing artistic director for the Millburn theatre, in a statement. “Can-Can hasn’t been revived for the Broadway stage in over 30 years, so we’re thrilled to launch the next Broadway revival here at Paper Mill Playhouse.”
The musical features a book by Abe Burrows and a re-crafted script by Joel Fields. Can-Can’s score includes “I Love Paris,” “C’est Magnifique,” “It’s All Right With Me” and more.
The musical, according to Paper Mill, is described as such: "Pistache, a Parisian café owner, decides to feature the scandalous dance the Can-Can, but will her defiance of the law end her business and her love life?"
Tickets may be purchased by calling (973) 376-4343, at the Paper Mill Playhouse Box Office at 22 Brookside Drive in Millburn, or online at www.PaperMill.org.
