Katie Holmes Options "All We Had," About a Mother Who Sacrifices Everything

Katie Holmes, seen on Broadway in Dead Accounts, has optioned first-time author Annie Weatherwax's novel, "All We Had," and will develop it as a vehicle for herself, according to Deadline.com.
"All We Had," set to hit shelves Aug. 5, centers on a mother and daughter who have nothing in their lives except each other. The mother sacrifices all for her daughter's chance to get accepted into a great East Coast college.
Holmes has also been seen on Broadway in All My Sons.
Deaf West’s production of SPRING AWAKENING floored the critics when it premiered in California, prompting the Los Angeles Times to write, "It's hard to enumerate all the ways in which Deaf West's SPRING AWAKENING is so very, very good." Now this unapologetically brilliant new production is coming to New York.
