An industry reading of Ted Malawer's new play The Chocolate Legacy is presented in Manhattan April 10.

The reading features the talents of Tony nominee Keala Settle (Les Miserables, Hands on a Hardbody), Eddie Korbich (Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) and Rachel de Benedet (Catch Me If You Can) with Kyle Adams, Sean Patrick Doyle, Ariana Shore and Brandon Uranowitz.

Kim Weild directs.

The Chocolate Legacy is billed as an "absurd comedy about murder, money, musical theater, leprechauns, and, of course, family. It tells the story of two estranged sons who return home to learn which of them will inherit the family’s chocolate company until a long-lost sister threatens to disrupt their plans."

Malawer's other plays include The Husband Machine and Framed. He has penned five novels including the "Mystic City" series, "The Diamonds" and "Crash Test Love."
