"Smash" star Krysta Rodriguez, who will be seen in the upcoming Broadway musical First Date, is among the artists taking part in Made For Each Other: Broadway Meets Andrew McMahon, featuring the music of Andrew McMahon — who composed for NBC's "Smash" — June 15 at 54 Below.
Directed and produced by Max Friedman, the concert features musical direction and original arrangements by Charlie Rosen (One Man, Two Guvnors). Cassidy Rose co-produces.
According to press notes, "Stars from Broadway band together and raise their voices in tribute to the work of singer/songwriter Andrew McMahon. Savvy music mavens know Andrew from his work with his bands Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin. As a solo artist, his tunes were heard most recently on NBC's 'Smash.' McMahon's passionate, personal lyrics and melodic, piano-driven music are a perfect fit for some of the most exciting performers from the world of musical theatre."
Proceeds benefit McMahon's charity, The Dear Jack Foundation, which provides a powerful voice in the fight against young adult cancer. For more information, visit DearJackFoundation.com.
