22 Apr 2014
Las Vegas Broadway Bares will return for its fifth year with Got Wood, presented May 2 at the Planet Hollywood Showroom.
Based on the long-running New York component of Broadway Bares, which was created by Tony Award-winning director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell, the Las Vegas event will feature performers from Rock of Ages, Le Rêve - The Dream, Dreamgirls, Jubilee, Divas Las Vegas, Véronic Voices, LIGHT night club and more.
Show time is 11:59 PM.
"Las Vegas Broadway Bares has become a signature fundraiser in our community that people look forward to every year," said director Ryan Lyons in a statement. "It's a powerful moment to see some of the top entertainers from our city come together to raise money for such an important cause."
Proceeds will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations.
Tickets are $25 for general admission and $55 for VIP and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com, or through the Planet Hollywood Showroom box office by calling (702) 777-2782. Patrons can also purchase general admission tickets at the door for $30 and VIP tickets for $60.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
