Leigh Zimmerman, who won an Olivier Award for playing Sheila in last year's London revival of A Chorus Line, and her husband Dominick Allen will reprise their show A Love Affair from A2Z at London's Crazy Coqs April 8-12.
They previously debuted the show in London as part of the inaugural London Festival of Cabaret at the St. James Theatre last year. According to press materials, the show shines a spotlight on the stages of love and the stages of life, across their 20-year marriage. Their material embraces Kander & Ebb, Led Zeppelin, Charles Aznavour, Bonnie Raitt, Cy Coleman, Jimi Hendrix and Stephen Sondheim.
Also appearing at Crazy Coqs is another long-married couple: singer-songwriter Amanda McBroom ("The Rose," "Errol Flynn") and actor-husband George Hall, who will present Some Enchanted Evening April 22-26. Their musical director is Michele Brourman.
Patti Boulaye, who made her West End debut in the original London production of Hair and has also appeared in the West End in Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Black Mikado, The Music Machine and Carmen Jones, will also play the intimate venue.
Anne Reid, best known as a TV and screen actress whose credits include "Last Tango in Halifax," "Ladies of Letters," "Dinnerladies," "Coronation Street" and "The Mother" opposite Daniel Craig, will return to Crazy Coqs, where she previously presented an autobiographical show In a New Key last year, to reprise it March 25-29. She is accompanied by Stuart Hutchinson.
