The Berkshire Theatre Group's benefit performance of Lincoln's Favorite Shakespeare is presented Aug. 14 at 4 PM on the Fitzpatrick Main Stage.

The event is presented by Berkshire Theatre Group artistic director Kate Maguire and Donna Hassler, executive director of Chesterwood – the historic property which hosts the post-show reception.

The program is produced and directed by Gordon Hyatt. Chris Noth and Fritz Weaver join John Douglas Thompson and Kathleen Chalfant in a tour de force evening of classical acting.

The performance features "this noted quartet of actors...[who] present scenes and soliloquies known and loved by Abraham Lincoln from the canon of Shakespeare." After their bows, there will be a reception at Chesterwood, a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Tickets are $50 for the performance only, $100 for performance and reception.
