Line-Up Announced for Broadway Remembers Whitney Benefit Concert

A host of Broadway performers will join forces Feb. 27 to remember the late Grammy-winning artist Whitney Houston.

Broadway Remembers Whitney is scheduled for 9:30 PM at Joe's Pub.

The "celebration of Whitney's life through an evening of her music, arranged in concert for, and sung by, some of Broadway's fiercest voices -- voices undeniably influenced and deeply moved by Whitney's presence and her artistry" will feature the talents of Kacie Sheik ( Hair), Chester Gregory ( Sister Act, Tarzan), Mykal Kilgore (Hair), Jay Armstrong Johnson (Catch Me If You Can), Carrie Manolakos (Mamma Mia!), Ato Blankson-Wood ( Lysistrata Jones, Hair), Caissie Levy (Ghost), Uzo Aduba (Godspell), Morgan James ( Godspell) and Julia Mattison (Godspell).

Kris Kukul is the music director.

Proceeds will go to the The Whitney E. Houston Academy of Creative and Performing Arts, a school that aims to teach its students to become contributing members of society now and in the next century.
