Lorna Luft Will Return to the U.K. in Puttin' On the Ritz

Emmy Award-winning performer Lorna Luft will headline a U.K. tour of the song and dance revue Puttin' On the Ritz, which will launch in late August.
The revue, according to presenters, recreates "the most famous song and dance moments of the last 50 years of movie history, all recreated live on stage. Join us as we take you on a nostalgic journey where you will see film clips of the most popular movies in history, and then watch the action unfold live on stage, as our wonderful cast of singers and dancers perform these well known song and dance numbers."
The revue promises such songs as "Anything Goes," "I Got Rhythm," "Cheek to Cheek," "Steppin Out" and more.
Luft is currently booked with the limited tour through Oct. 4. Stops include Southend Cliffs Pavilion, Eastbourne Congress, Hall For Cornwall, Edinburgh Playhouse, Opera House Manchester and Norwich Theatre Royal.
Luft appeared in the Broadway production of Promises, Promises and the national tours of Guys and Dolls, They're Playing Our Song and Jerry Herman's Broadway Years. She also appeared in the U.K. bow of Irving Berlin's White Christmas. She has toured her show Songs My Mother Taught Me: The Judy Garland Songbook to acclaim.
Featuring the Broadway classics “To Life (L’Chaim!),” “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Sunrise Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and “Tradition,” Fiddler on the Roof will introduce a new generation to this uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!
