Lysistrata Jones re-sets the ancient Greek comedy Lysistrata in a modern college-basketball setting. Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane (The Little Dog Laughed, Sister Act) penned the libretto, for which he earned a 2012 Tony Award nomination.
The musical played Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre Nov. 12, 2011-Jan. 8, 2012, following a premiere at the Dallas Theater Center and an Off-Broadway run at the Transport Group. Lysistrata Jones will be available for licensing from Tams-Witmark in the near future.
