The City Center Encores! production of Irma La Douce will feature Tony Award nominee Malcolm Gets. The production, which stars Jennifer Bowles and Rob McClure, will begin performances May 7.

Gets replaces the previously announced Allan Corduner, who has had a scheduling conflict.

Irma La Douce, which will run through May 11, will feature Bowles (Matilda The Musical, American Idiot) as Irma and Tony nominee McClure (Chaplin, Honeymoon in Vegas) as Nestor.

Directed by John Doyle, the cast will also feature Sam Bolen, Ben Crawford (Big Fish, Shrek the Musical), Stephen DeRosa (The Nance, Betrayal), Zachary James (The Addams Family, South Pacific), Ken Krugman (Assassins, Candide) and Chris Sullivan (Nice Work If You Can Get It, Lombardi).

"Encores! breaks the mold with its first musical not written on American soil with Irma La Douce, the tale of a Parisian lady of the evening (Jennifer Bowles) and the law student (Rob McClure) who falls in love with her," press notes state.

Gets' stage credits include Macbeth, Amour, The Moliere Comedies and The Story of My Life. His screen work includes "Caroline in the City," "Thirteen Conversations About One Thing," "Love in the Time of Money," "Adam and Steve," "Sex and the City" and "Grey Gardens."

Irma La Douce will feature choreography by Chase Brock and music direction by Rob Berman. Jack Viertel is Encores! artistic director.

Tickets can be purchased at the New York City Center Box Office (West 55th St. between 6th and 7th Aves.), by calling (212) 581-1212 or visiting NYCityCenter.org.
