Marc Kudisch, Lauren Worsham, Katie Thompson, Theresa McCarthy Explore Downtown/Uptown at Sept. 9 Concert

The Coterie: Downtown/Uptown, featuring seven world-premiere compositions, is presented Sept. 9 at 8 PM at the Church of the Advent Hope in Manhattan.

The concert, which is directed by Theresa McCarthy, features the talents of three-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch, Lauren Worsham, Joshua Jeremiah, Katie Thompson, McCarthy, Eve Gigliotti, Amelia Watkins, Jeff Gavett, Kyle Bielfield and Cree Carrico.

The evening of operatic arias, art songs, indy rock jams and musical theatre numbers includes compositions by David T. Little, Paola Prestini, Hannah Lash, Matt Marks, Rachel Peters, Joshua Schmidt, Andrew Gerle, Aaron Roche, Mikael Karlsson, Jeff Myers, Julia Meinwald, Christine Donkin, Marie Incontrera, Jude Vaclavik with lyrics by Royce Vavrek. Attendees can also expect a video premiere by Fantasy Fawn.

Music director Andrew Gerle is featured on piano with Sarah Goldfeather (violin), Char Prescott (cello), Eileen Mack (clarinet), Kevin Wunderlich (guitar), Andrew Kozar (trumpet) and a trio of singing bassists: Eleonore Oppenheim, Emily Pickell and Alex Droo.
