Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower Will Join Matthew Morrison, Kelli O'Hara, Jordin Sparks for "A Capitol Fourth"

Additional artists have been announced for the 30th anniversary presentation of "A Capitol Fourth," which will air live on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol July 4 from 8 PM-9:30 PM. Jimmy Smits will host.



Newly announced for the annual celebration are Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower (from "Dancing with the Stars"), who will dance to "Beauty and the Beast," sung by Jordin Sparks in commemoration of the Disney film's 20th anniversary.

The program will also feature performances by the previously reported Grammy and Emmy Award-winning actor and musician Steve Martin with the Steep Canyon Rangers; multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban; Broadway and "Glee" star Matthew Morrison; "American Idol" winner Sparks; rock 'n' roll legend Little Richard with the cast of Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet; three-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara; and the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of pops conductor Jack Everly.

The concert finale includes Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture," featuring live cannon fire provided by the United States Army Presidential Salute Battery. Also participating will be The Choral Arts Society of Washington, along with The U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, The U.S. Army Ceremonial Band, the U.S. Air Force Ceremonial Band, members of the armed forces carrying the state and territorial flags and the Joint Armed Forces Color Guard provided by the Military District of Washington, D.C..
