Martin Short and Eugene Levy to Join Andrea Martin on "Working the Engels"
12 Dec 2013
Tony winner Martin Short will guest star on "Working the Engels," according to TVLine.com.
Short will reunite with Emmy and Tony winner Andrea Martin (Pippin, Young Frankenstein), who stars in the upcoming comedy series. Eugene Levy, another "SCTV" alum, will also guest star.
Four of the 12 episodes of the series will be directed by Jason Priestley.
The show follows the Engel family as they attempt to run their late father's storefront law firm, even though none of them is a lawyer. The family comes together while attempting to survive financially after their father's death leaves them in debt.
Short will play the head of a pastry firm who is involved in a lawsuit over ownership of a recipe.
The cast of "Working the Engels" also includes Kacey Rohl ("Hannibal"), Azura Skye ("American Horror Story," "American Dad!"), Benjamin Arthur ("American Reunion") and Scott Thompson ("The Kids in the Hall").
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
