Produced by Jeremy Handelman/Off The Leash Productions, the rock musical comedy by David Eric Davis and Sam Forman will officially open March 24.
The new musical has music and lyrics by David Eric Davis and a book by Sam Forman and Davis. It will be directed and choreographed by Jen Wineman with orchestrations and music supervision by Matt Hinkley and music direction by Eli Zoller.
F#%king Up Everything, according to press notes, is a "rock musical comedy with heart. Set in today’s Brooklyn indie music scene, it is an old-fashioned boy-meets-girl love story for the 21st Century. When these hipsters aren’t true to who they are, they screw up everything. Especially love. And no one screws up more than children’s puppeteer Christian Mohammed Schwartzelberg when he meets singer-songwriter Juliana, the girl of his dreams."
The production will also have set design by Deb O, costume design by Melissa Trn and lighting design by Joel E. Silver.
The Elektra Theatre is located at 669 8th Avenue, between 42nd and 43rd Streets. Tickets are $25-$79 (preview tickets are $25-$30) and can be purchased by calling (866) 811-4111 or visiting www.fuckingupeverything.com.
