Memorial Celebration for Ron Palillo Will Be Held in October

A memorial celebration honoring the life and career of Ron Palillo, who fashioned an indelible impression as an awkward Brooklyn teen in the 1970s sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter," will be held in October. Mr. Palillo died Aug. 14. He was 63.
The tribute will be held in Manhattan Oct. 3 at 6 PM at The Triad, which is located at 158 West 72nd Street.
Some of the performers and speakers expected to appear include Anita Gillette and Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs. John Travolta has also written a message to be read at the event.
The Triad tribute is being produced by Lawrence Leritz, Bob Dio and Elaine Devlin.
