Tony winner Michael Cerveris, recently seen in the concert staging of the Tony-winning Titanic, has landed a recurring role in the critically acclaimed CBS series "The Good Wife," according to Deadline.com.
The Broadway favorite will play James Castro, Cook County state's attorney.
Cerveris took home the Tony Award in 2004 for his work in Assassins and was nominated for his performances in Evita, Lovemusick, Sweeney Todd and The Who's Tommy. He has also appeared on Broadway in In the Next Room, Hedda Gabler, Cymbeline and Titanic.
"The Good Wife" airs Sunday evenings at 9 PM ET on CBS.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
