As previously reported, LaChiusa will be joined by his Marie Christine star McDonald for the 7:30 PM discussion and performance.
LaChiusa, whose musical Giant was staged last fall at the Public Theater Off-Broadway, penned the Medea-inspired musical Marie Christine for McDonald. That production premiered at Lincoln Center Theater in 1999. McDonald was also part of the Williamstown Theatre Festival production of LaChiusa's See What I Wanna See.
The evening will also feature Testa (42nd Street, A New Brain), who starred Off-Broadway in LaChiusa's Queen of the Mist; as well as Giant cast member Cortez (Here Lies Love); and musical director-conductor Fenwick, who has worked on LaChiusa's Giant, Queen of the Mist and See What I Wanna See.
LaChiusa is a five-time Tony Award nominee. His works also include Hello Again, Queen of the Mist, Bernarda Alba, The Wild Party, First Lady Suite and others.
