Burton, Tony-nominated for her performances in The Constant Wife, Hedda Gabler and The Elephant Man, played opposite Ritchie in the Huntington production of The Corn is Green in 2009.
"I'm thrilled to reunite with Morgan Ritchie, my leading man from The Corn is Green, at one of my favorite theatre companies, the Huntington," said actress Burton in a statement.
Joining Burton as Irina Arkadina and Ritchie as Konstantin are Ted Koch (The Pillowman, Death of a Salesman, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) as Trigorin, Auden Thornton (Years of Sky at 59E59) as Nina, Nancy E. Carroll (Rapture, Blister, Burn and Good People) as Paulina Andreyevna, Thomas Derrah (The Jungle Book, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom) as Sorin, Nael Nacer (Our Town) as Medevenko, Meredith Holzman (After the Revolution at Playwrights Horizons) as Masha, Don Lee Sparks (Take Me Out) as Shamarayev, Marc Vietor (She Loves Me at the Huntington) as Dorn, June Baboian as the cook, Kyle Cherry as Yakov the workman, Melissa Jesser as the maid and Jeff Marcus as a servant.
The Seagull will feature scenic design by Ralph Funicello, costume design by Robert Morgan, lighting design by James F. Ingalls, sound design by Drew Levy and original music by Mark Bennett. The production stage manager is Emily F. McMullen, and the assistant stage manager is Jeremiah Mullane.
