The new musical, based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the Columbia Pictures film of the same name, featured original direction and choreography by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (The Producers, The Scottsboro Boys).
Theatrical Rights Worldwide recently secured licensing rights for the musical, which starred two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz as story-spinner Edward Bloom.
The season will also include Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, featuring music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Hammerstin II and Joshua Logan (Feb. 12-March 1, 2015); Les Misérables, featuring music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, a book by Alain Boublil and Schönberg and lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer (April 10-26, 2015); and Singin' in the Rain, based on the MGM Film with choreography by Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly (July 10-26, 2015).
