Stage and screen actress Natasha Lyonne will guest star on the hour-long series finale of Showtime's dark comedy "Weeds," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
On the two-part finale, which will air Sept. 16, Lyonne will play a woman named Tiffani with additional details of her role being kept under wraps.
"Weeds," which casts Tony winner Mary-Louise Parker as a drug-dealing suburban mom, includes stage and screen stars Justin Kirk and Hunter Parrish as well as Elizabeth Perkins and Kevin Nealon, among others. The series was created by Jenji Kohan.
Lyonne, who is best known for playing the role of Jessica in the "American Pie" film franchise, has been seen in the New Group's world premiere of Blood From a Stone and Off-Broadway's Love, Loss, and What I Wore, among others.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
