The NBC drama pilot "Infamous," formerly known as "Notorious," has been given a series order, according to Variety. Tony nominee Victor Garber (Damn Yankees) and Tate Donovan (Good People) will star.

"Infamous," a murder mystery written by Liz Heldens, also features Meagan Good and Katherine LaNasa. In the series, Donovan will play Robert Lawson's (Garber) oldest child.

Variety also reports that CBS has canceled the medical drama "A Gifted Man," which featured Tony Award nominee Pablo Schreiber and stage actors Patrick Wilson, Jennifer Ehle, Margo Martindale and Afton Williamson.

In the hour-long drama, written by Susanna Grant, Martindale played the assistant to Michael (Wilson), a competitive surgeon whose life changed when his ex-wife (Ehle) died, but came back to teach him life lessons.
