Celebrated composer-lyricist Scott Alan has released a new EP, marking his recording debut as a singer/songwriter.

Entitled "Anything Worth Holding On To," the EP is now available digitally on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon, Google Play and more.

"In the past I've been gifted with the most brilliant interpreters of song singing my work," Alan said in a statement. "This EP marks the first time that I've ever released an entire album featuring only me (ok, Shoshana Bean joins me for a song, too). I hope that you will find some comfort in this album. I wrote it during a very personal time in my life. You will find songs you've heard on previous releases as well as new songs that helped bridge each song together into a story I felt worth telling."

The complete track listing follows:

1. Nothing Remains
2. Take Me Away
3. Letting Go Of You
4. I'm In Pain (featuring Shoshana Bean)
5. Anything Worth Holding On To
6. Ignited By A Dream
7. Nothing More (Live from The Leicester Square Theatre)
8. Anything Worth Holding On To (Instrumental)

As previously reported, Alan will offer four concerts at London's The Hippodrome Casino later this month. The songwriter, who will be joined by major West End stars, will play the intimate venue May 13-14 at 11 PM and May 15-16 at 8 PM.

Alan, who wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical Detour, is also currently in development with playwright Christy Hall and director Stafford Arima on the original musical Home, which is scheduled to make its West End world premiere in fall 2014.
