New York Premiere of Avi Hoffman's Still Jewish After All These Years Opens Aug. 19

The New York premiere of Avi Hoffman's Still Jewish After All These Years opens Aug. 19 at Stage 72 following previews that began Aug. 10.
Performances continue through Oct. 23.
"In this all new musical celebration, Avi scans his 45-year career," press notes state. "Through story and song, he shares the humorous and moving experiences in his Meshugane (crazy) life in the theater, beginning at age 10 in the historic Folksbiene Yiddish Theatre."
The production marks the third show by Hoffman exploring his Jewish background. Avi Hoffman's Too Jewish? premiered in 1994, and Too Jewish, Too! opened in 1998. Both works were broadcast nationally on the PBS network. Hoffman's TV work also includes "Law and Order" and "Magic City."
Featuring the Broadway classics “To Life (L’Chaim!),” “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Sunrise Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and “Tradition,” Fiddler on the Roof will introduce a new generation to this uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!
