Brooklyn's Gallery Players has announced plans to stage the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal as part of the organization's 2014-15 season, which will also include the Tony-winning rock opera Evita.

Written by If/Then collaborators Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, Next to Normal will launch the season Sept. 13. Beginning Oct. 25, Gallery Players will stage David Auburn's Proof, with a holiday run of the Jerry Herman revue Jerry's Girls to follow beginning Dec. 6.

On Jan. 17, 2015, the Gallery Players will offer the Ray Cooney farce Run for Your Wife, with a production of the rarely produced Stephen Schwartz-Joseph Stein musical The Baker's Wife beginning March 7.

The season will close with the Tony-winning Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice musical Evita, which opens April 25.

Gallery Players will also offer its 18th annual Black Box New Play Festival as well as the Overtures program, which will present staged readings of new musicals.
