Nick Blaemire and Aaron LaVigne's Bands Will Join Forces at Le Poisson Rouge
29 Jan 2014
Broadway songwriter and performer Nick Blaemire (Godspell, Glory Days) and his "nerd soul" band The Hustle will join forces with Aaron LaVigne (Spider-Man, Rent) and his band the Downtown Crowd Feb. 10 at Le Poisson Rouge.
The 10 PM concert will celebrate the Downtown Crowd's release of its new EP "Call Your Mom."
"Splitting our time between the theater and pop worlds can be overwhelming and a bit of an identity crisis at times," stated Blaemire of the show, "but seeing people like Aaron putting themselves out there and balancing it all so well makes it all the more exciting. We're definitely taking it up a notch for this show. If you haven't seen us yet, this is the one to see."
Both Blaemire and LaVigne's styles range between the worlds of Jason Mraz, Justin Timberlake and Stevie Wonder.
Attendees must be 18 or older.

Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
