17 Dec 2012
Nick Blaemire, most recently on Broadway in the revival of Godspell, returns to Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 Dec. 17 with his nine-piece R&B/pop band for a free concert.
Nick Blaemire and the Hustle will play the intimate venue at 8:30 PM.
Attendees can expect to hear an evening of holiday songs, re-envisioned in the Hustle's "nerd soul" style. Songs will include "This Christmas," "What Christmas Means to Me" and "All I Want for Christmas is You," as well as a few original holiday tunes written for the occasion.
The Hustle recently released a video of their first single, "Complete," which is available at www.nickblaemireandthehustle.com.
Blaemire recently guest-starred on the CBS drama "The Good Wife," and met his collaborator/arranger Jesse Vargas while composing the short-lived Broadway rock musical Glory Days, which played the Circle in the Square Theatre in 2008.
Rockwood Music Hall is located at 196 Allen St. in New York City. Attendees must be 21 and over. For more information visit RockwoodmusicHall.com.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
