12 Oct 2012
Tony Award winning Venus in Fur star Nina Arianda will be a guest star on the Oct. 18 episode of the NBC comedy series "30 Rock," which is titled "Hello Ryan Lochte."
Arianda, who is also set to star in the upcoming films "Fellini Black and White" and "Joplin" (about late rocker Janis Joplin), joins Alec Baldwin and 11-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte in the clip below.
The award-winning actress also took part in a reading of the new film adaptation of Into the Woods, playing the role of the Baker's Wife. No casting for the film has been announced.
Arianda won the 2012 Tony Award for portraying the mysterious and exotic Vanda in David Ives' Tony-nominated dark comedy Venus in Fur. She also appeared on Broadway in the revival of Born Yesterday. In addition, she is part of the upcoming film "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
