Brad Alexander and Adam Mathias' See Rock City and Other Destinations, originally seen as part of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's New Musical Festival in 2008 and subsequently premiered in 2010 by the Transport Group in a production at the Duke Theatre on 42nd Street, is to receive its U.K. premiere, beginning performances Aug. 15 prior to an official opening Aug. 19 at the Union Theatre, for a two-week run through Aug. 30 only.

Presented by Aria Entertainment & Szpiezak Productions in association with The Union Theatre, it will be directed by Graham Hubbard with musical direction by Matt Ramplin and lighting design by Tom Boucher.

According to press materials, the show is a "contemporary musical about connections missed and made at tourist destinations across America. A wanderer believes his destiny is written on rooftops along the North Carolina Interstate, a young man yearns to connect with intelligent life in Roswell, New Mexico, a woman at The Alamo steps out of the shadow of her grandparents' idealized romance to take a chance on love, three estranged sisters cruise to Glacier Bay to scatter their father's ashes, two high school boys face unexpected fears in the Coney Island Spook House and terrified bride-to-be ponders taking the leap over Niagara Falls."

The musical, which features music by Brad Alexander and book and lyrics by Adam Mathias, received the 2011 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book and also won the 2008 Richard Rodgers Award from The American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the 2007 Jerry Bock Award from The BMI Foundation.

The cast will include Richard Dawes, Laurel Dougall, Barney Glover, Ricky Johnston, Kris Marc-Joseph, Kathleen Larken, Joshua Leclair, Alex Lodge, Georgia Permutt, Neil Stewart, Nancy Sullivan, Sinead Wall and Rebecca Withers.
