Casting has been announced for The Ogunquit Playhouse's upcoming production of the Tony-winning Billy Elliot the Musical, which will play the Maine venue June 25-July 26.

Heading the cast in the title role will be Noah Parets; he will share the demanding part with Sam Faulkner, who will play Billy three times a week.

The company will also feature Anastasia Barzee as Mrs. Wilkinson, Armand Schultz as Billy's Dad, Tony Award nominee Joel Blum as George, Dale Soules as Grandma, Stephen Hanna as Older Billy and Anthony Festa as Billy’s brother Tony.

BT McNicholl will direct the Ogunquit Playhouse staging with choreography by Adam Pelty. The creative team also includes set designer Campbell Baird and costume designer Dustin Cross.

Billy Elliot, according to press notes, "tells the story of a young boy who discovers his true passion lies in ballet class and not in the boxing ring, and then finds the strength to defy the convention of his small UK mining town to make his dream come true."
