Cristin Milioti, who was Tony-nominated for her performance as Girl in the 2012 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Once, has been tapped as the female lead in the NBC romantic comedy pilot "A To Z," according to Deadline.com.
From Warner Bros Television, Rashida Jones and Will McCormack's Le Train Train, "A To Z" — penned by Ben Queen — follows the relationship of Andrew and Zelda (Milioti), from meeting to breaking up.
Milioti, who can be seen on the ninth and final season of "How I Met Your Mother," has also been seen on Broadway in Coram Boy and The Lieutenant of Inishmore. She recently appeared in the film "The Wolf Of Wall Street."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
