The Emmy-winning ABC drama "One Life to Live" will offer a four-day musical event, Prom Night: The Musical, beginning June 15.

Several original songs — including "You're the Freak," "The Cheerleader Is Always the Bitch" and "Together" — will be heard in the daytime serial; the musical performances will be interspersed among the ongoing "One Life to Live" storylines.

Jim Horvath choreographed all the musical numbers that will be seen in Prom Night. Among the performers will be Kathy Brier (former Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray), Kristen Alderson, Jason Tam (A Chorus Line) and Sarah Hyland (Grey Gardens); Paul Glass is musical director.

"For Llanview's teens," "One Life to Live" press notes read, "prom night seems destined to be a less than perfect evening. Cole is unsuccessfully trying to get over Starr by agreeing to go to the prom with Starr's enemy, Britney Jennings (Portia Reiners). Starr has agreed to accompany Markko Rivera (Jason Tam), much to the chagrin of Starr's best friend, Langston (Brittany Underwood). Langston, however, would never admit that she likes Markko. As rehearsals are finishing on the night of Llanview High School's prom, Prom Night: The Musical begins with the song 'Together' and, during the four episodes, the audience will learn who will be crowned prom king and queen, if the cheerleader is always a bitch and if true love will win out for Starr and Cole."

"One Life to Live" was created by Agnes Nixon; Frank Valentini executive-produces, and Ron Carlivati is the headwriter. The one-hour program airs Monday-Friday at 2 PM ET on ABC-TV; check local listings.
