Passion Play, Gypsy, South Pacific Top New Yorker's "Ten Best Plays of 2008" List

Passion Play, along with revivals of William Shakespeare, Samuel Beckett, Anton Chekhov and Clifford Odets, are among the choices The New Yorker's "The Ten Best Plays of 2008" list.
Longtime theatre critic John Lahr named the shows on the new list, which also includes two musical revivals (
and South Pacific ) as well as a reading of Arthur Kopit's Gypsy Discovery of America.
Here are the New Yorker's top choices for 2008:
