"Patti LuPone Far Away Places" Live Album Will Get January 2013 Release
20 Dec 2012
Far Away Places, the new live album from Tony Award winner Patti LuPone, which was recorded during her acclaimed 54 Below concerts, will now be released Jan. 15, 2013, the Broadway Records label announced.
The album was originally slated for a Dec. 11 release, but listeners will have to wait a bit longer for the live recording of an evening that included such songs as "Pirate Jenny," "By the Sea," "I Cover the Waterfront," "Invisible," and more. A track listing will be announced shortly. Six-time Grammy Award nominee Robert Sher (Gypsy, How to Succeed, Nice Work If You Can Get It) produces the album.
Broadway Records has also announced release dates for live albums by Norbert Leo Butz ("Memory and Mayhem," Jan. 15, 2013), Christiane Noll ("Gifts," Feb. 5, 2013) and Andrea McArdle ("70's and Sunny," Feb. 26, 2013). Those three albums are produced by Aaron Ankrum.
The albums are currently available for pre-order at Amazon.com. This series will continue with releases from other current and forthcoming 54 Below artists representing the top names on Broadway.
54 Below is located at 254 W. 54th Street. Tickets and additional information are available at 54Below.com.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
